About Your Role

As an HR Business Partner, you will be part of a team providing strategic and operational HR support to our team. What you’ll work on:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing strategic HR guidance and support. Understand the unique needs of each department and collaborate with leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
• Handle employee relations matters, fostering positive and productive working relationships. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, working closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop effective strategies, and attract top talent. Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments. Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees, facilitating orientation programs and ensuring compliance with HR and onboarding requirements.

Manager, Underwriting

About Your Role

We are bringing on a Manager, Residential Mortgage Underwriting to review and approve new opportunities for our residential portfolio.

We’re looking for an Underwriting Manager with experience working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. The position requires the ability to make consistent and objective risk assessments as part of a high-volume, deadline-driven team. The Manager will be expected to provide daily leadership, mentoring, training, and guidance to team members, while also managing team operations, productivity, and efficiency. The Underwriting Manager will additionally be expected to maintain and manage their own pipeline of underwritten deals, as well as the pipeline of their direct reports.

What you’ll work on:

• Lead, mentor, and coach all underwriting team staff to develop them according to their personal abilities and development plan, in order to achieve company-set objectives.
• Enable team members to achieve consistent and quality credit decisions while minimizing errors.
• Monitor daily operations of underwriting staff, review pipeline volumes, track backlogs and manage workflow.
• Deal management and providing solutions to our broker clients as well as managing escalations and contacting brokers when needed.
• Maintain an efficient and effective workflow by managing the productivity of the underwriting team, assigning priorities, reviewing quality standards, and ensuring quality standards are met – Create and maintain various reports which will assist with the management of the team’s daily workflow and individual staff performance. Manager, Accounting

About Your Role

The Finance team at Magenta is a group of 5 highly talented individuals who ensure that we provide the best services to our internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible to manage this dynamic team through financial reporting process being the audit lead. You will also assist with managing multiple system implementations for Financial Planning and Analysis and Mortgage Automation. What you’ll work on:

• Lead a timely and accurate financial close, reviewing the monthly financial reporting packages.

• Review trailer and referral fees quarterly to be processed by accounts payable.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance reporting packages for external stakeholders.

Mortgage Underwriter

About Your Role

We’re looking for an underwriter with experience working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. The position requires the ability to make consistent and objective risk assessments as part of a high-volume, deadline-driven team.

What you’ll work on:

• Adjudicating mortgage applications against internally defined criteria
• Negotiating loan terms to meet the needs of the borrower while following internal risk-tolerance guidelines
• Working with our broker partners to ensure accuracy and completeness of applications
• Ensuring compliance with privacy, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing and anti-fraud policies
• Recommending applications for approval and issuing mortgage commitments
• Facilitating the handoff of committed files to the Fulfilment and Funding Team
• Working with the Fulfilment and Funding team to bring files to a close

Commercial Mortgage Underwriter

About Your Role

We are bringing on a Commercial Mortgage Underwriter to review and approve new opportunities for our Multi-Unit Rental (MUR) product.

We are looking for a commercial underwriter with experience working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. The position requires the ability to make consistent and objective risk assessments as part of a high-volume, deadline-driven team.

What you’ll work on:

• The incumbent will analyze and underwrite commercial credit facilities together with additional credit related and administrative duties, for conventional commercial mortgage product types. Attention must be made to ensure that compliance with company’s lending guidelines and procedures are followed with recommendations submitted for approval to management.
• Communicate regularly with internal contacts (funders, manager, underwriters, junior underwriters and originations team) as well as external contact (lending partners, mortgage brokers, solicitors, appraisers and consultants) to ensure transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner in order to deliver superior customer service and funding deadlines
• On a monthly basis, the incumbent will be responsible for various administrative and reporting duties required for the department/Company which will be relied upon by Senior Management and Executive Leadership team

Executive Assistant

About Your Role

The Executive Assistant reports directly to the COO and is responsible for managing an active calendar of appointments, completing expense reports, composing, and preparing correspondence and arranging detailed travel plans including itineraries and agendas. Absolute confidentiality, integrity and professionalism is required in addition to expertise in Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Your goal is to optimize the use of the COO’s time based on direction, priorities, and your own superior judgment. This position works closely with the Senior Leadership Team.

What you’ll work on:

• Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the COO and Special Assignments
• Completes expense reports
• Plans, coordinates, and ensures the COO’s schedule is followed, respected, and stays on time
• Receives incoming communications or memos on behalf of senior staff, reviews content, determines importance and summarizes and/or distributes content to appropriate staff
• Coordinates reporting requirements for senior level managers to fulfill recurring reporting requirements (i.e. AOP, MOR etc.) to ensure all deadlines are met
• Provides a bridge for smooth communications between the COO’s office and other departments
• Assists the COO by gathering data, creating, and compiling reports, writing memorandums and other internal communications and more.
